Vigilante attacks continue in Aleppo and Hama cities targeting mostly Sunni ex-regime security members. Security forces also continue their high pace of arrests in Damascus and the coast, targeting ex-regime insurgents but also increasingly hitting drug networks which has resulted in several clashes and killed security forces. In Jableh, security forces were able to arrest a large kidnapping ring impersonating General Security. Meanwhile, Alawite men continue to be kidnapped and killed in Homs and Latakia, though still at a lower rate than earlier in May.
